Friday Practice

First off. What a fantastic practice tonight. You should all be really proud of how well they did. The coaches can see the improvement in each of the girls having been working on drills for the first two weeks.

Friday (tomorrow) at 6pm we will meet at the batting cages on the other side of the softball field. If you can not make it I do understand since this was a last minute decision. I just think the girls need a bit more batting practice.

I am also thinking I will have uniforms to hand out. If I do not then I will check with Chris and make sure we can have them by the parade on Saturday. (945am) meet at Norton Elementary (coach Dave is in charge) Take lots of photos for me. I will be thinking about you while up in Jackson. I know they will all play a great game on Sat. Be at field 4 at 130pm...

Practice cancelled tonight due to fog

As I was leaving track practice (held inside) due to fog and water on the track I realized I could not see more then 10 feet in front of me. So I am cancelling practice till Monday for safety reasons.

FIRST GAME

I will get copies of the schedule out to everyone as soon as I get them.

Please be at the field at 1:30 pm in full uniform

Lenora fundraisers will be given out on Thursday (coke fundraiser).. I have done these at school and they are great money makers as well as I like diet coke.

End date for sales will be given out in the next week by the team moms

Team mom #2 is (I asked and will send as soon as she says yes, but no presure)

Team Photos are MARCH 21, 2010 I will get with everyone about the time. Full Uniforms for players and coaches will wear matching shirts

AWESOME Practice tonight

Great practice tonight. Full house with lots of drills going on. Great parental help. Great ball players... I look forward to Thursday nights practice.

Thursday night practice is from 7-815 pm
(we will practice at this time every Thursday so the 6U can have the field at 6pm

Thursday Practice

It was a cold one tonight but we had a great turn out. We worked on some throwing, fielding, and practiced hitting using a T for fundamentals in batting.

Next Practice Monday night at 6pm.
We will be working on catching
running, and hitting.

Frist Practice

The First Practice was a great success..
All the girls did great.
I can't wait till Thursday provided it does not rain.

Spring Practice Schedule

Practice Starts
March 1, 2010 @ 6pm Monday Night till 715ish

Practices are Monday and Thursday @ 6pm

At Practice we will work on:
1. Proper holding of the ball/throwing the ball
2. Catching the ball
3. Base running
4. catching the infield ground ball
5. catching the infield fly ball
6. catching the outfield ground ball
7. catching the outfield fly ball
8. How to play basic defense
9. How to play offense
10. Batting drills and how to properly hold a bat
11. throwing to the bases
12. infield and outfield position drills
13. how to use a cut off
14. MOST IMPORTANT HAVE FUN WHILE PLAYING AND PRACTICING

It is time for softball to start up. Sydney and I have moved over to Shiloh to play and coach. This blog with have practice schedules posted.
